My lemon with water experiment Day 3 & 4
No video selected.

Day 3 & 4 were both the same - I felt exactly the same on both so I've combined them.  What I noticed on both these day is that the my glass of water with lemon really makes you feel hydrated first thing in the morning. Especially if you'd had a wine or two the night before and not drunk enough water before going to bed.

Also found that I like to sip another glass or two of the water with lemon during the day so I'm going through a lemon a day.  Good for my vitamin C intake as well a my fluid intake. The lemon really lifts the taste of the water. It's a cheaper option than buying bottled water or mineral water and it does somehow make the water more interesting so I'm enjoying drinking it more. Hmmm, interesting. Is it the acidity? Is it something special about lemons?

This would be a great way to use up any lemons if you're lucky enough to have a lemon tree growing in your garden (or your neighbour's garden). I dont. I had to buy my lemons which is fine as they're in season now in Sydney.  So there's plenty of them at the markets and a good price too.

Limes or lemons?

Got plenty of limes? I know there was a glut earlier this year at the Top End of Australia around Darwin. Use a lime instead of the lemon I'm talking about.  I'm sure it will have the same effect as the two fruits are so similar in nutrition and culinary lines.

The bottom line

Have I eaten less thanks to the water-lemon starter?  Unfortunately - not that I've noticed on these two days. About the same as usual. All I've noticed is that it takes a little longer after breakfast for me to feel hungry again - which is a small bonus.  Will pay more attention tomorrow.
