Here it is: a list of non-food things to do when you’re bored and you feel like eating or munching on something.

- Stretch for 5 minutes.
- Call a friend or loved one to catch up.
- Take a bath.
- Listen to a podcast.
- Watch a documentary on Netflix.
- Do some push-ups or sit-ups.
- Floss your teeth.
- Water the plants.
- Give yourself a manicure - or at least clip your fingernails.
- Do something you’ve been procrastinating about.
- Speed-walk around the block.
- Clear out those un-listened-to messages from your voicemail inbox.
- Jog on the spot.
- Rearrange the furniture in your lounge room or home office.
- Drink a big glass of water to keep hydrated.
- Take a selfie, make a meme with it and send it to your friends for a laugh.
- Delete old unneeded photos on your mobile to free up storage space.
- Clean something in your house you usually avoid – like the refrigerator or oven.
- Work on forgiving someone who has wronged you. Not for them, but for you.
- Re-watch videos you’ve shot on your phone. There’s always a gem in there, which will get you laughing and feeling nostalgic!

21. Do a minute of eye exercises, especially if you’re looking at screens most of the time.

The bottom line
When you’re bored, don’t stand in front of the fridge or pantry. Do one, two or more of these things and you’ll be finding something else to do! I guarantee it.
